A recent new study suggests that giving prebiotic supplementation to full term infants resulted in more normal stool patterns and better weight gain compared to those that didn’t receive the prebiotics.  Breastfed infants receive the prebiotics through the mother’s milk.  The article suggests benefits but recommends further controlled studies to be done before recommending it [...]
